Dustolex : Family story

For over 65 years we have designed and manufactured customised air-extraction and filtration systems, combining engineering expertise with in-house production.

Orfeo Coral founds the company under the name Aerotecnica Coral.
Thomas Braddock founds the Dustrol company and, during the year, changes the name to Dustolex.
Dustolex recruits Stephen and Susan Shepherd.
Stephen and Susan Shepherd establish Quickduct Limited to distribute industrial ventilation products throughout the UK.
Quickduct becomes part of the Coral Group and the UK main dealer of Coral products. Current Director Stuart Shepherd begins his employment with Dustolex & Quickduct.
Stephen and Susan Shepherd buy the Dustolex company for its extraction-system services.
Purchase of the first machine for manufacturing pipes in England.
Continual improvement — a new laser machine is purchased.
To increase productivity, the Coral Group invests in new tools: robotic machining centres, CO2 laser cutting machines, punching machines and bending machines.
Dustolex reaches a turnover of £700k and the Coral Group £100M.
After 23 years with the company, Stuart Shepherd becomes the new Director of Dustolex Limited.
Dustolex celebrates its 50th anniversary.
Dustolex buys a new building to increase production capacity.
Coral France finalises the purchase of 50% of Dustolex shares, with a business plan to grow UK sales of Coral products and systems.
Two new machines arrive to expand ducting manufacture.
