The Iperjet DF MAX TC 9 range
Iperjet MAX is Coral line Coral horizontal cartridge filters designed for the extraction and filtration of welding fumes, fine and coarse dust, small amounts of metal shavings, and—in the TC versions—dust and fumes from thermal or laser cutting. This is an indoor filter designed to offer superior extraction capacity compared to the more compact solutions in the range, featuring a fully soundproofed fan installed at the top of the unit and the option, where permitted, to recirculate filtered air back into the workspace for energy savings. The Iperjet MAX line includes multiple configurations to meet various system requirements. For sizes 9–12, the catalog lists the DF MAX, DF MAX TRU, DF MAX TC, and DF MAX TC TRU versions, while larger sizes include the DF MAX 18, DF MAX 24, DF MAX 18 TC, and DF MAX 24 TC versions. The standard versions use M PES polyester cartridges, while for Thermalcut applications, the M-NANOTECH cellulose media with nanofibers is available; the catalog also lists other optional media such as PTFE coating, PTFE membrane, aluminized antistatic, water- and oil-repellent, and cellulose. Options such as a plenum with an absolute/HEPA filter or activated carbon are also available. In terms of performance, the range offers a significant improvement over the more compact models: for sizes 9–12, the catalog lists airflow rates of up to 14,000 m³/h, while for the DF MAX 18 and DF MAX 24, these figures reach 20,000 and 30,000 m³/h, respectively. The filter surface area reaches very high values, up to 960 m² in the largest versions, with cartridges measuring Ø 325 x H 1200 mm. The catalog also notes that the air inlet can be configured on the right or left side and, for some higher-capacity MAX 12 versions, the use of both inlets. The Iperjet MAX operates using cartridge filtration with compressed-air backwashing. Dusty air enters from the top, and due to the sudden drop in velocity, the larger particles settle into the hopper and collection bin. The air flow then passes through the cartridges from the outside to the inside, so that the dust settles on the outer surface of the filter media while the air exits purified. As dust gradually accumulates, the cartridges are regenerated by a jet of compressed air that generates a sort of shock wave and facilitates backwashing. Cleaning occurs in sections via diaphragm solenoid valves controlled by a flow regulator, maintaining high filter efficiency and resulting, after the initial operating period, in a pressure drop that remains essentially stable throughout the filter's operational life. This feature, combined with the horizontal arrangement of the cartridges and the wheeled collection container, reinforces the positioning of Iperjet MAX as a solution designed for continuous operation and quick maintenance.
